What counts as an emergency
You can't get in, you can't lock up, or you can't drive away. That covers house and apartment lockouts, car lockouts, lost car keys, business lockouts, a key snapped off in a lock, and a door that was damaged in a break-in attempt and won't secure. If someone is in danger, or a child or pet is locked in a hot car, call 911 first.
Our hours, stated plainly
We work Sunday to Thursday 7 AM to 9 PM and Friday 7 AM to 2 PM. We're closed Saturday. We don't advertise 24/7 service, because we don't provide it, and a locksmith who says "24/7" and then doesn't answer is worse than one who tells you the truth. Outside those hours, text us or send a request online and we'll call you as soon as we open.
What happens when you call
A person answers. We ask where you are, what's locked (door type, lock type, or vehicle year, make and model), and whether keys are locked inside or lost. From that you get the price before dispatch and an honest ETA. If you say yes, a technician heads your way. At your door, the price is confirmed again before any work, and nothing changes unless we stop and tell you why.
Non-destructive first
Most lockouts are opened without drilling. We try picking, bypass tools and professional vehicle entry tools first. If a lock truly has to be drilled or cut, we explain why and quote the replacement before touching it.
After a break-in attempt
A kicked door usually fails at the frame, not the lock: the strike plate tears out of thin trim. We can secure the door, replace damaged hardware, and install a reinforced strike with long screws into the framing so it holds next time. If you need a police report, get it before we change anything.
What affects the price
- What's locked (home, car, business) and the lock type
- Time of the call and distance to you
- Whether hardware must be replaced
- Parts, itemized on the invoice
The price on the phone is the price at the door. We quote the total before dispatch and you approve it before work begins. If something changes once we see the lock, we stop and tell you first.
- Lock or hardware typeA standard deadbolt, a high-security cylinder and a smart lock are different jobs.
- Vehicle and key typeMake, model and year; mechanical, transponder, remote or push-to-start key.
- ComplexityOpening a latch vs. a thrown deadbolt; one cylinder vs. a whole building.
- TimeEvening and short-notice work can cost more than a scheduled daytime visit.
- LocationHow far the nearest technician has to drive, and access (gates, garages).
- Required partsCylinders, locks, key blanks, chips and fobs, itemized on the invoice.
