After someone leaves
An employee, manager or cleaning contractor leaves, and nobody's sure how many keys walked out with them. Rekeying the affected doors is the fast, low-cost fix. If it keeps happening, it's a sign you need a restricted keyway (keys that can't be copied at a kiosk) or keyless access so you can simply delete a code or a card.
Master key systems
A master key system gives each person exactly the access they need: staff open their area, managers open their floor, the owner opens everything. It takes planning: which doors, who needs which, and room to grow. We map it out with you, build a key chart, and keep it on file so future keys and changes stay consistent.
Storefronts, panic bars and closers
Aluminum storefront doors use narrow-stile hardware such as Adams Rite-style deadlatches and mortise cylinders, and they wear out from heavy daily use. We repair and replace storefront locks, adjust or replace door closers so doors shut and latch on their own, and install exit devices (panic bars) on doors that need them.
Exit and fire doors are governed by fire and building codes. If a door is a required exit, its hardware must keep that exit usable, so tell us how the door is used and we'll fit hardware that works with it, not against it.
Access control and keypad entry
For doors with a lot of people going through them, keypad locks and access control remove the key problem entirely: codes per person, schedules, and a record of who came in. We'll help you choose between a standalone keypad on one door and a networked system across several, and tell you honestly when a job needs a dedicated access-control integrator.
Property managers and HOAs
Unit turnovers, common-area doors, mail rooms, gates and pool areas. Call us for a single job or set up a standing arrangement so turnovers are one phone call. Tell us the property and the doors, and we'll quote per job before we start. More on locksmith services for property managers.
Commercial services in detail
Each of these has its own page: master key systems, panic bar installation, storefront lock repair and access control and keypad entry. Property managers and landlords: see locksmith services for property managers.
What affects the price
- Number of doors, cylinders and keys
- Hardware grade (commercial, high-security, restricted keyway)
- Scheduling before opening or after closing
- Parts such as exit devices, closers and deadlatches
The price on the phone is the price at the door. We quote the total before dispatch and you approve it before work begins. If something changes once we see the lock, we stop and tell you first.
- Lock or hardware typeA standard deadbolt, a high-security cylinder and a smart lock are different jobs.
- Vehicle and key typeMake, model and year; mechanical, transponder, remote or push-to-start key.
- ComplexityOpening a latch vs. a thrown deadbolt; one cylinder vs. a whole building.
- TimeEvening and short-notice work can cost more than a scheduled daytime visit.
- LocationHow far the nearest technician has to drive, and access (gates, garages).
- Required partsCylinders, locks, key blanks, chips and fobs, itemized on the invoice.
