Access control and keypad entry for doors that many people use.

Replace keys with codes or cards on your high-traffic doors. We install standalone keypad and smart access locks, set up users and schedules, and tell you honestly when a larger networked system is the better fit.

What's included

  • Standalone keypad locks (commercial grade)
  • Smart locks with user codes and logs
  • Codes per person, schedules
  • Rekeyed mechanical override
  • Setup and staff walkthrough
  • Honest referral for large networked systems

Why switch from keys

When someone leaves, a key means a rekey. A code means a delete. Keypad and smart access locks also record who opened the door and when, and they can restrict access to business hours. For offices, gyms, clinics, rentals and shared back doors, that's usually worth it.

What we install

Our focus is standalone access control: commercial-grade keypad locks and smart locks, each managed at the lock or through an app. That covers most small and mid-size businesses. For multi-door networked systems with card readers, electric strikes and central software, we'll tell you when a dedicated access-control integrator is the right call.

Choosing the right lock

Door type (wood, metal, glass storefront), traffic, whether you need audit trails, and how many users all matter. We'll recommend a model that fits your door, not the most expensive one. If the door is also a required exit, the hardware has to keep free egress working; see panic bar installation.

What affects the price

  • Lock model and features (codes, logs, app)
  • Door type and preparation needed
  • Number of users to set up
  • Number of doors

The price on the phone is the price at the door. We quote the total before dispatch and you approve it before work begins. If something changes once we see the lock, we stop and tell you first.

  • Lock or hardware typeA standard deadbolt, a high-security cylinder and a smart lock are different jobs.
  • Vehicle and key typeMake, model and year; mechanical, transponder, remote or push-to-start key.
  • ComplexityOpening a latch vs. a thrown deadbolt; one cylinder vs. a whole building.
  • TimeEvening and short-notice work can cost more than a scheduled daytime visit.
  • LocationHow far the nearest technician has to drive, and access (gates, garages).
  • Required partsCylinders, locks, key blanks, chips and fobs, itemized on the invoice.

Access Control & Keypad Entry: questions

Can a keypad lock go on a glass storefront door?

Some can, with the right narrow-stile hardware. Send us a photo of the door edge and we'll tell you.

Do you install card-reader systems?

Our focus is standalone keypad and smart access locks. For multi-door networked card systems, we'll tell you honestly if an integrator is the better choice.
